摘要2000 年以来我国小城镇发展与规划的研究出现了新动态，主要表现为对小城镇的功能、特征、发展动力与方向、规划方法与策略、制度创新等方面的研究更加清晰和深入。本文系统梳理了上述研究进展，并提出了未来的研究展望，包括进一步明晰研究对象、提高研究的广度和深度、深化城乡关系视角下的小城镇发展研究、重视研究主题的历史延展性、系统展开类型学研究、加快完善相关技术标准体系、拓展学科交叉下的制度创新研究等。

Abstract Since 2000, there have been new trends in the research on the development and planning of small towns, which are mainly reflected in the more in-depth research on the function characteristics driving force and development orientation, planning methods and strategies of small towns. This paper systematically reviews the above research progress, and puts forward the future research prospects, including further clarifying the concept of "small town", enhancing the breadth and depth of research coverage, deepening small towns development with the view of urban-rural relationships, emphasizing the historical width of the topics, systematically carrying out typology research, improving the technical standard system, pushing the institutional reforms in the view of cross disciplines, etc.
