摘要  城市是人类最伟大的创举，是人类品质生活最为重要的集聚地。而城市设计是提升城市品质的重要手段之一，本文以对城市设计的再认识、再思考为线索，梳理城市设计的研究与演进历程，并通过新疆阿勒泰市总体城市设计项目，探索城市设计过程中存在的一些问题，提出一些理性思考。

Abstract Cities are the greatest pioneering work of mankind as well as the most important gathering place for quality of human life. Urban design is one of the most significant ways to improve the quality of city. This paper uses the reinterpreting and rethinking of urban design as a clue to sort out the research and evolution of urban design. Through studying the overall urban design project of Altay City, this paper explores existing problems in the urban design process, and puts forward some rational reflections.
